Trial Prep What to Expect

  • We are going to chat at the beginning of the trial – I cannot wait to get to know you! I’d love to see pictures of your dress, hair trial, makeup inspiration photos, how you usually wear your makeup and (if you have some) photos of when you’ve had your makeup done in the past that you liked!

  • Feel free to bring your mom, sister, or bestie! But because the studio is a shared space, please limit your guests to one person.

  • Please arrive with clean, moisturized skin.

  • If you have time to style your hair before the trial, I recommend it! It will help the makeup “make more sense” visually if you have your hair lightly styled. It’s hard to evaluate your bridal makeup look when your hair is messy.

  • I will take several photos of your trial and complete a face chart listing all the products we used to achieve your wedding makeup. Both items are stored in the personalized file I create for your wedding date. Make sure you take photos as well (ideally throughout the day after the trial), so you can reference these images for any tweaks on the day of your event.

  • You don't have to decide the day of the trial. You may want to explore different lips colors on your own or try a few different false lash styles leading up to your big day. If on the day of your wedding you still want to make an adjustment, you absolutely can.

  • White top (tank, tube, tee shirt or collared shirt – but ideally any top that has a similar neckline to your dress).

    • Wedding dress photo

    • Makeup inspiration photo

    • Photo of when you’ve liked your makeup in the past

  • I do like to share photos on social media, mainly on my Instagram stories. I won't show tag you, unless you give me the ok! If you’re not comfortable with my posting, just let me know.
